Folkloric Dance Costume Shoot

with Blanca Carbajal

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the colorful dance costumes of different regions of Mexico and capture images with the 4 different light setups that are provided.

Attendance is limited so register early for this event.

The clothing will be modeled by the students of the Folkloric Dance School led by Blanca Carbajal. Blanca will provide a brief overview of the different folkloric costumes.

Each of the 4 lighting stations will be hosted by a PPSCV photographer that will explain that station’s lighting setup and visual intent.

You will be able to pose the models. Most of the costumes will be modeled by young women. Some costumes will be appropriate for, and demonstrated by, young men. The models will have more than one costume each and there will be many models so we can continue shooting while some of the models are changing.

Participants will be expected to provide quality images to PPSCV to give to each of the models in appreciation for their time, effort and expertise in demonstrating the different costumes. This should include at least one close-up and one full-body/full costume image.

PPSCV will provide coffee and pastries upon arrival and will offer sandwiches for lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions or concerns we recommend you bring your own lunch.

Here is a rough outline of the day's events:
